Yes indeed, on the back would work well, also. I was just thinking, showing on the shirts, jackets etc, the association with the national CLC would be benificial. You have already done that very well on the web site header.

Thanks, David

Just to add this is definitely something we can throw at design lady at PKD Screenprinting. She basically came up with that first design from scratch in a matter of minutes. I do remember her making a succinct point about how embroidery will need a very crisp design. She indicated colors would definitely need to be changed If going to a darker knit shirt vs the light grey T-shirt used in our first batches.

Perhaps on back in large lettering. I replied regarding club shirt logo on other thread.

Sorry, from your response, I figured I must not have been clear. I'm thinking, adding the script only on the shirt brest badge, so when we are out in public wearing our shirts and non car people see the logo. They don't know what club, 63/64 Cadillac Chapter, indicated. Of course the script at the bottom could be increased in size to be more visible. Sorry to confuse you.

Thanks,

David

Just to further complicate the matter we are technically the Cadillac LaSalle Club 1963-1964 Chapter, which thinking about it more ... if we want the complete club name on shirt logo we should have Cadillac LaSalle Club in the top semi circle and leave the rest as it is ....assuming all of that wording will fit in the top section.

Used in the right context where we would only be showing the alternative shirt logo this might be something we could use.  Again it would not be used on the header of the website since we have the Cadillac LaSalle Club next to it, and on a shirt I'm afraid embroidered it would be too small and indistinct.  Also for any situation (e.g. our header up top) where you need to color outside the circle border to match the surrounding area,it will ether not be seen if black or hard to read.   I guess I'm still not sure what instances you are thinking of where we need to make it clear we are a chapter of the CLC? I'm thinking perhaps on letter stationary, but again I often also use the CLC logo on the same page or explicitly refer to the Cadillac LaSalle Club in the body of the letter.

Jason, this is sort of what I had in mind. Something subtle but explanatory. Your idea of the curved font inside the circle with Cadillac Chapter on top and Cadillac & LaSalle Club on bottom would look nice, too.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.

There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
