Interior Lights Gremlins Again!

Hi Cadillac Members,My 1964 Coupe DeVille has sprung another issue.  I was able to fix the brake lights by installing the correct fuse 25 Amps not the 15 Amp one which was in there and the brake lights are working normal again!  But now....The rear (only the rear) interior lights will NOT turn off (this happens when the car isn't running.  I haven't tried it with the car running yet).  I pulled both door switches and checked them and they do work to turn the front interior lights on and off…See More

Hi Everyone,I am having an unfortunate issue with my 1964 Cadillac Coupe Deville.  This is the time of year I like to drive this car (no AC and black in color!).  My brake lights stopped working last year and today I checked everything out.  Both Turn Signal Lamps front and rear work fine.I believe the "brake light fuse" is now blown (last time I replaced it 15 Amps it didn't last long).  Wiring has not been messed with (it does have a 6 lead trailer hookup which is soldiered together and no…See More

Hi Fellow 1963 and 1964 Cadillac members,I have an original 1964 Cadillac my father and mom brought me home from the hospital in (1965!) and we took it all over these great United States!   It pulled our travel trailer through more than 40 states on the various vacations we took each year.  Dad always kept the car in great condition and we overhauled it together in 1976.   From hitching the trailer up the center of my rear bumper does have a dent in it that annoys me!  I was likely the cause as…See More

Where should I start to solve the problem? The gauge itself, the temperature sensor, or the wiring? Or something else? The sensor is a new (aftermarket part)…
