Posted on December 10, 2018 at 7:41pm 3 Comments

Hi fellas!!

Well I recently found a guy here locally, who’s got about 8-9 63/64 Cadillacs convertible and hardtop coupes. I also recently found a 64 convertible Eldorado. I really want to purchase it here shortly. If anyone wants to buy it off me or the guy selling it, let me know ASAP. It’s really a great price. If anyone is looking for anything let me know. If you have Instagram my handle is @caddikingheartbreaker. You can also message me on here. I’ll check back from time to time. Or… Continue

If you would like to show a picture (or preferably a lot of pictures) in your topic the best solution is to use "Image".

When you click on Image you will be able to choose any file you have on the computer and have it automagically appear in your topic.

When you want to post a new topic just click Forum.

Choose the type of forum you would like to write in.

In this example I have clicked For Sale from the menu. Now you just click on Add and the topic is ready and will end up where it should be.

Frank, if you click Help as per below you will see a lot of useful information gathered on this site for many years.

These cars do not have VIN tags.  VIN is stamped on engine block and front frame crossmember.  You can determine bodystyle by VIN or Body Style Code on Body ID Plate.  For details see Body Styles and VIN Numbers link on Help Page - www.help.6364cadillac.com

If using your smart phone, select 'Discussions' from the drop down menu in upper right corner of screen and click on + sign to add new discussion. Be sure to sign in first via drop down if not signed in. You can also select Desktop View from drop down and navigate the conventional way.

Frank, I noticed that your using your page for your comments. It would be easier for others to track your comments if you used the main page, instead of your personal page. Click on the FORUMS tab up top and you will see how to leave comments in the different sections of the chat room.

Frank, the hard points are the same between the 63 and 64, but the transmissions are different. The linkage will be different. and the drive shafts are a different length. The exhaust Y pipe is different too.

If you just want to set the engine and trans combo into the frame rails, they will fit.

In 64 there were 2 types of transmissions used. The CDV used the TH400 and did not have a TV rod.

Don't know who to ask or where to post:

Hi Caddy fellas,
I'm planning to rebuild my 64's CDV motor and trans.. also I finished my 63's CDV motor and I plan to go through and check the trans on the 390.. question: will the 390 trans combo fit in my 64 space tfrom 429 while it is out? Will the 390 adapt in the same spot the 429 was without any additional adjustments?
Also, are both the trans are TH 400's? Please shoot me some answers and pointers! Thank you! Hope all is well!

Can you help? Driveshaft Question....

Posted by Chris on May 30, 2021 at 8:55am 1 Comment

Hello!

Newbie to the group here - we have already found tons of invaluable information on the board, so thanks! We are restoring a 1963 Series 62 Convertible. We are wondering if anyone knows of a source to buy the propellor yoke flange (that bolts to the pinion flange) for the driveshaft? One of our ears partially broke off. Not sure if we can buy just the yoke flange as an aftermarket part, or if it has to be rebuilt by a welder/fab guy? Maybe a salvage yard for a source? Again, any…

V.I.N. where?

Posted by Robert Pellow on April 18, 2021 at 1:41pm 6 Comments

Where can I find the V.I.N. on a 63 convertible?  The usual space at the base of the interior windshield on the driver's side has been decimated by weather.

63 Trunk detail

Posted by Bob Pontius on April 8, 2021 at 3:07pm 6 Comments

Jason, I liked the detail and information you have provided. I would like to do mine similar to yours. Can you help? Do you have trunk material? OPGI is sending the trunk product for my 63 Fleetwood. But it does cover the entire trunk as yours was done. If you do not have can you give me a reference? Thanks!! Bob
