Hello all,
I was just wondering if anyone had, or knew of, a 390cid engine for a '63 Coupe Deville that was for sale. It basically needs to be a complete engine from the air cleaner down as the project I'm contemplating has nothing under the hood. A/C optioned engines are preferred. Would prefer one that was running when pulled but as I was a mechanic by trade it's not a deal breaker if it didn't run.
I know it's asking a lot from a new member but I know someone here can…

Hi all,
Finally had a few minutes to sit in front of the computer and make a post. I guess I should start with a bit about myself. I'm 37 and live in wonderful Winnipeg, MB Canada. If you look at a map of North America I'm pretty smack dab on the middle of it all!
I'm currently negotiating with a fellow to try and obtain a 1963 Coupe DeVille he has sitting on his property. He started working on it but gave up as he has far too many projects on the go. If the dollars and cents…

I found a diagram that illustrates the main factor in determining a spark plug heat range that I was trying to describe to you during the chapter get together.
Here it is:
The main factor is the length of the ceramic insulator from the middle of the spark plug to the tip (where the spark happens)
The insulator…

Good Morning all!
I took the 64 into the shop to have some adjustments completed and in the process decided to have the lower ball joints replaced as was recommended the last time I had it in. I ordered the parts and came into the shop. They quoted me nearly $500 to replace those lower ball joints requiring nearly 4hrs of labor. Now this is a reputable shop and they know me by name here and they will continue to get my business. I am just questioning what on earth is…
