"Henrik As you have a 63 engine —with a stock Rochester carb I would second rebuilding the carb mostly because the trans shifting is controlled by the carbs side bracket  and TV rod which is not easy to duplicate on an Edelbrock carb…"

"You’re probably  better off just cleaning and rebuilding the Rochester.    I got an old used Rochester off eBay, rebuilt it, and now it works great.  "

"Henrik The Edelbrock 1406 WB my choice for your 63 390 engine - but do discuss it with the techs by telephone ———they are super helpful  Edelbrock bought the wrights to the Carter  carb  and made a few improvements…"

New Holley, but which one?

First I will start by saying, I am a newbie. Recently purchased a ´56 HT, which has a 390" from a ´63 in it. I have decided to put a new Holley on it, but not 100% sure which one would be the best choice.I am leaning towards a 600CFM Brawler w. vacuum secondary. Am I completely off or?And would I need a adaptor plate between carburator and manifold? Does anyone know which one?Regards Henrik Sonne(Denmark)See More

Lower Front End Ball Joints

Good Morning all! 



I took the 64 into the shop to have some adjustments completed and in the process decided to have the lower ball joints replaced as was recommended the last time I had it in. I ordered the parts and came into the shop. They quoted me nearly $500 to replace those lower ball joints requiring nearly 4hrs of labor.
