"What kit did you get from CCP? Does it stop your caddy without any issues? I’ve heard the 11” plus sets are the way to go but it won’t fit factory ‘64 rims.  "

Disc Brakes and Cadillac 48 spoke wire wheels

I've been thinking about upgrading to the CPP front disc brake kit for my 64. I'm running the wheel vintiques 15x6" Cadillac wire wheel. The brake kit says must use with a disc brake compatible wheel. Does anyone know if this wheel would work, and is anyone here running disc brakes with these wheels? Thanks for any help.See More

"That's something I want to do. I checked with Summit but they were not sure if their kit would work with the wire wheels. I'm going to do more research and see what I can find."

I just wrote that up elsewhere and you can see it in the forum. Let me know if you can't find it. But the conversion kit was from Classic Performance Products for $745, about half what I've seen elsewhere, and after some grief from a substandard mechanic who wanted to put spacers in, I had it done elsewhere with my stock wheels and no issues at all. Does not rub, does not scrape, stops much faster and with a feeling of certainty about it. A great upgrade.
