"FOUND IT !! Noticed that wire colors were different. The relay box is up on the firewall in between coming off the harness. Unplugged relay box and unwound enough slack to reach the dimmer switch. All is good now !  Thanks for the help."

"This is a picture of the plug at the dimmer switch. These run straight to the next picture at the guidematic box and are hard wired into it. Should i cut these and try to figure out which is which to plug into the dimmer switch ?  "

"Just unplug the system. Your bright lights will work with the dimmer switch then.  Find the dimmer switch, and unplug the wires. Now follow the wires to the relay box. On the relay box you will find a connector that has 3 wires. Unplug that and…"

"I've been trying to figure this out. Think I might just remove the bright lights ! haha Is this guidematic box the one above the glove box ? It has like 4 wires going to it and a blue wire with an inline fuse. I'm so lost and aggravated."

"Trunk light uses a mercury switch in side a cardboard sleeve fit in side the light fixtures. When trunk opens mercury shifts closing the the light circuit which has constant 12 volts source causing light to come on. See below for components."

"I believe you have to pull the dash pad to get to the instrument panel bolts.  (I think you have to take the a-pillar trim off to get the dash pad out)."

Bad Guage?

So I am troubleshooting my fuel gauge issue. I bought a new sender and tested it. It  it goes from 1-ohm (empty) to 35-ohm (full). When I test it (outside the tank), when the float is in the up (full) position it only moves the gauge to about 1/2 full. When at the bottom (empty) position the gauge shows empty. This is the same issue I have when I fill and then use the gas in the tank - the gauge never reads ore than half full. Based on what I've read on this thread it would seem like the…
