It would be a complicated engine change due to a change in the 67’s frame that required changes to a number of engine components under the hood not making that engine an easy replacement in your case
Basically to many thing need changing to make that a non complicated swap
The simplest engine replacement for a 64 engine is to be rebuilding your current engine ( less labor intensive )
Any engine you use will need you to be sure your engine has the correct crankshaft to match up to the current turbo transmission that is now behind the engine you now have in your model car
Only certain models use the turbo 400 trans in 64 while all others use the older Hydromatic trans that has a different engine crankshaft to match up to that trans
It is best to have your current engine rebuilt in a 64 — for sure !
The 67 engine after a lot of additional labor required will also be devaluing the car as it is not the engine that belongs in that ride at time of sale often being a turn off to a buyer
Buyer of our cars do know what they are looking for in most cases and the wrong engine in our year cars is not one of those desirable things to be seeing
Enjoy

I found a diagram that illustrates the main factor in determining a spark plug heat range that I was trying to describe to you during the chapter get together.
Here it is:
The main factor is the length of the ceramic insulator from the middle of the spark plug to the tip (where the spark happens)
The insulator…

Good Morning all!
I took the 64 into the shop to have some adjustments completed and in the process decided to have the lower ball joints replaced as was recommended the last time I had it in. I ordered the parts and came into the shop. They quoted me nearly $500 to replace those lower ball joints requiring nearly 4hrs of labor. Now this is a reputable shop and they know me by name here and they will continue to get my business. I am just questioning what on earth is…
