Because your car has the Hydromatic trans may I recommend that you have the stock carb rebuilt due to the TV rod plate issue ( you need to make one yourself ) when installing an Edelbrock to keep life relatively simple and the car working as intended
The Trans shifting correctly being an important issue to me
A good carb shop can rebuild your carb and make your stock carb perform like brand new
Just my two cents as that would be my direction if I owned a 63 or 64 with the Hydromatic trans
