"I'm guessing its a combination of all the above. The exhaust hitting the shock looks more like the culprit. I'll need to replace the bushings anyway there all cracked anyway. Appreciate your help kind sir"

"Tony, Did what you said on each corner at the tail light bezel and it seems to respond pretty quick. The shocks were done when I bought the car about 6 years ago and never really had any miles  put on it since I'm still restoring it. "

Sticking Valve ?

OKay i hjvae 64 deville turbo trans. recently installed a Holley 600 cfm carb to it after the intake manifold was fixed by deleting choke tube. but because i put new heat riser on years ago and it was pricey i didnt cover the exhaust ports up to the intake. just installed new vacuum advance and ignitor 1 ignition module. But the carb and ignition seem to be okay but the fluctuating manifold vacuum ( 18 to 21 HG fluctuating) i keep getting is telling me there is a sticking valve. OR i missed…

Well my friends looking for a little advice. the old Rochester has well; seen better days.it leaks around all the gaskets after i just replaced them all. I have a 600 cfm Holley off an old Mopar thinking about putting it on the 64 SDV. Just wondering if anyone has experimented with the holleys on these cars? it wokrs great on the Mopar 360 cubic inch just not sure about the spacers and gaskets i need. A question for jason is did you use JB weld for the choke tube hole or whats your thoughts…

Picked my car up today from the body shop after it had been there 3 years and still not done.strapped her down drove and hour and wouldn't you know?.... I managed to puncture the fuel tank with the tow hook. So I m probably I need of a new fuel tank. I checked out OPGI there's aren't exactly factory. I figured I would come ask the only place there is to ask about a caddy. If anyone out there can. Tell me where to find a new tank or can I get my old fixed. Please me know.

Hello I've been restoring a 63 for way to many years. Down to almost done, but have issue with trans linkage, when column in park shift rod 2 inches short. everything original. been trying to find picture of manual rod hooked up from under car to see position of linkage. was wondering if anybody has access for pictures. Torque converter grab when idling in Drive

Hi Everyone, been quite a while since i have been on here.

I have had an issue with the idle on my 64 Coupe Deville ever since i have had it.

With the Idle set high enough that it is smooth, but still a nice idle, the RPM seems only slightly too high for the stall of the Torque Converter. And therefore it tends to sit there and grab and lunge a bit. So until now, i have been putting the car in Neutral at the lights to stop this happening.

Hello!

Newbie to the group here - we have already found tons of invaluable information on the board, so thanks! We are restoring a 1963 Series 62 Convertible. We are wondering if anyone knows of a source to buy the propellor yoke flange (that bolts to the pinion flange) for the driveshaft? One of our ears partially broke off. Not sure if we can buy just the yoke flange as an aftermarket part, or if it has to be rebuilt by a welder/fab guy? Maybe a salvage yard for a source? Again, any…
