I'm in need of a rebuildable Carter AFB for my 1964 Fleetwood. My car is in winter storage and I would like to have one ready when I get it out. Can anyone help or suggest? How about it Jason, got one? Thanx Frank

Since our 63/64 Cadillac Chapter has members spread out all over the USA and world, last month I started adding national Car Shows to our events website page and newsletter using the very handy Hemming car event search tool. For the January newsletter coming out shortly I have added Car Auctions and will expand to include swap meets, etc in the future.
If you have specfic events in your area that are not already on the list…

Just curious, has anyone dissected the rear drive shaft section at the rear CV joint? How is the inner tube/rubber/outer tube attached to the CV joint head? I would think the inner tube is welded to the CV joint with a rubber damper in between the outer tube that is visably welded to the CV joint head.
Reason I ask, Honda GoldWings also have a drive shaft that has the rubber between the inner and outer tube. The Rubber is vulcanized to both tubes and acts as the power transfer…

OK so fiddling with the climate control means I have had to idle the engine for an extended period resulting in a large black sotty mark on the driveway and fouled spark plugs. cleaned the plugs and washed down the drive but is this an indication of rich mixture and if so is there an adjustment for mixture on the carter carbys? have not looked in the service manual thought I would put it out here for comment first.

ok I have sourced a 1970 transducer for my 64 climate control. told it would work.
it does but I need to adujust it and unlike the 64 transducer that had the screw
adjustment at the bottom this one appears to have none. at 65 degrees its getting
8.6 volts but still holding 7 inches of vacuum - still too much for the power servo arm
to move far enough forward to actuate the mode control so the AC comes on.
any ideas how to…

Hi Everyone, The picture isn't the best but I just installed to things in my 64 Deville. The item on the right which is hard to see is a tissue dispenser..but on the install drawing Cadillac calles it a tissue vallet. The big bread box on the left is a 12volt ARC 45 RPM Record Player. The record player is upside down so to play the side you want the record goes…

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
