Hi all
I am looking to have an aftermarket distributor made for these year models.
I have fitted a Holley Sniper to my 63' 390 & want the Sniper to control the timing.

This is in the very early stages so I am looking to see if it is viable.
I understand the purists might see this as sacrilgious but the Sniper has made my car soo much better for me.
I am asking to see if there is any interest?

Hi Martin, I commented on your FB post about this - didn’t realize you were a member here.  I’m collecting parts to do some experimenting.  Will keep you posted.

I already have the Holley Sniper on the engine and tuned, runs great. I just want to be able to control timing using the Sniper. I to was looking for better fuel economy & have it.

Clovis— is a  kind of a mechanical genius —and for that reason the Fiteck fuel injecton he has done ( mostly for him to improve gas mileage and liking computer  gadgets ) is not for the average guy to attempt to do —as it is Not a Plug and Play — kind of upgrade ( somewhat complicated for the average hobby mechanic to be doing )

Enjoy

Martin

if you put —fuel injection in the - Search engine - in the top right corner of the home page there is a good deal of info about other fuel injections used ( Fiteck ) in the past on this site but not the Holly Sniper

Clovis —did extensive work adding canisters under the hood and eventually a fuel pump to his gas tank to have enough fuel pressure at an idle

You may see some tips and ideas in those threads that might be of some help to you

A considerable amount of pluming  is required under the hood to do the Fiteck fuel injection correctly

Enjoy

Martin

Very few - a half a dozen -have installed fuel injection type carb replacement since 2006 on this site

so not very much interest overall

Not really sure what it is you are trying to accomplish by having a dist made for the Holly Sniper or who might do that for you

Enjoy

What is the color of this 63 Eldorado - aquamarine or green?

Posted by SK on October 24, 2021 at 2:33pm 2 Comments

Hi,

I really like the color combination of this 63 Eldorado (sold long time ago by Volocars).

The ad states aqua exterior and green interior but unfortunately there is no pic on the cowl tag.

Is the exterior color ’Frost aquamarine’ and interior ’Beryl’?

Or is the exterior green, ’Frost green’ and interior ’Emerald’?

Hello,  would anybody be able to tell me if I’m using the correct gasket on my Rochester throttle body? It doesn’t  look right to me.  I’m not sure if the carb actually ran with this gasket because I got it used with no history.  Any help would be appreciated …
