That's got to be about the most generic posting for a rebuilt engine I have ever run across. I wonder why they don't simply post details of the engine and the rebuild? I think if I posted an engine I was claiming to have rebuilt for an asking price of $3000 I would have several pages of details, starting with basics such as exactly what parts were replaced and what had to be machined including cylinder bore, warranty information, etc.  Anyone saving a few bucks by spraying a Cadillac engine Ford (or some other) Blue has already lost my interest.

Just talked too the machine shop.   He read the VIN on the block, and found out its a 66

This wont fit into the 63/64.

64-67 is a dead giveaway that the seller doesn't know what he has.

My first 2 questions I would ask, and would have to be verified by the VIN on the block,, and the part # on the crank

1.  What year is that block,

2. What crank is in that engine. Either the Hydro-Matic, or the Th400

1963 Eldorado convertible boot

Posted by Les Eastling on February 27, 2020 at 10:33am 1 Comment

I need a used convertible boot for a 63 Cadillac convertible - condition or color is not an issue since it will be used as a pattern for making a new one. One from either a 62 series convertible or an Eldorado would work. I know I am searching for hen's teeth here... but you never know unless you ask!
