No, this is simply a case of radiator fatigue, which I confirmed with my laser temperature gauge; cool spots in a couple of places suggest blockages. Not enough to overheat the car (because it runs well and is in proper tune) but enough to cause it to run just a bit hotter than I would like. Still the original radiator, which I am first going to have boiled out, rodded out and sealed up.…</span></p>

<p><span style="font-size: 12pt;">I think that's what I'll do just as soon as I get the car back from the body shop where it is being carefully polished out. My car does not overheat, nor does it overflow when shut off but the needle goes to just below half in traffic. All my other (properly running) Cadillacs ran at one needle width below the first quarter (admittedly, those were much newer cars but that's what i recall). </span></p>
