Thanks Paul, I appreciate the nice words. As they say that engine was a labor of love last year ... and glad to put my experience taking down 39 of these cars to good use.

On the AC bracket is that the bracket on top of the radiator support from dehydrator to the AC Compressor?

No, same air cleaner housing for both Carter AFB adn Rochester 4GC. This is sitting on top of an Edelbrock 1411 so had to use adaptor rings to fit the original air cleaner housing to it.

What is different are the 63 & 64 Air Cleaner housings. The 63 has a more pointed, narrow air inlet snorkel while the 64 has the wider straight snorkel like in my picture above.

I went back and added the Rustoleum Engine Paint part #'s. I will be posting my Engine Painting Tips from the newsletter in a separate post later and will include some of the additional information above. I also tweaked the Original Engien Colors PDF document to include info on sheen, what this list covers, etc.

"under the hood" covers a lot of ground. My engine paint list is more specifically for the engine which used a semi gloss to gloss sheen. I use the Rustoleum Gloss Engine Paint (part# 248932) for the Black Painted Engine parts such as air filter housing, oil filler cap, etc.

Some of the "under the hood" items such as firewall, inner fender well fillers, bottom side of hood, were more a satin finish while items such as hood hinge mounting brackets, corner fender brackets, strut support bars, radiator support, upper and lower hood latch assemblies, grill support bar and end brackets, horns, vacuum canisters, etc were more a semi gloss to full gloss. For the main framing, upper & lower A Arms, I went with a gloss but believe it may have been more a satin to semi gloss.

You can see my engine bay project (which I think turned out very nicely) at this link: http://6364cadillac.ning.com/photo/albums/jason-s-engine-bay-project

I painted my inner fender wells, firewall with Rustoleum Semi-Gloss Engine Paint (part# 248936), semi gloss and the other items listed above gloss. Note there are easily 100+ items over "under the hood" and that would be a completely different list.

Hope this helps.
