And while he may have been off making those silly 60's Pooch de Ville Movies the last few weeks, he has returned to form today in his own 2018 Comeback Special!
(Tony, and a few others my get my wacked references here.. maybe not!)
Anywho... I bead blasted, primed, and painted a valve cover set, front and rear THM trans inspection pan and this balancer going to Australia as soon as the paint cures.
My Acetone dip... 20-20-20-20 methods still works like charm. Weather reached 70 and had perfect skies and the pollen and bugs have not taken over so it was near perfect outside painting weather. Here's a couple of pieces From Da King:

Tony, As noted in the very 1st line of the Help Page article with the link to the Engine Painting Tips article, this was covered in the Nov-Dec 2012 Chapter Newsletter. In fact both Engine Paint Colors and Engine Painting Tips was included. The only additional information I could add would be what I have stated, in that I have decreased my respray window from 30 to 45 minutes to 20 minutes, but still feel the 30 to 45 minute time is fine for respray before the critical wrinkling timeframe starts... usually within 1 to 2 hrs of the last coat. If a Chapter Member wants to provide an detailed account of there technique I would love to include it, but I would be almost repeating myself verbatim if I did another Engine Repaint Tips article, with again, the additional note about bumping up the respray timeframe if the paint you are using tacks well within that timeframe.

...and I was making those silly Priscilla & Presley Roundabout movies... ah, er videos ... last week. Perhaps that was my equivalent to Spinout, Speedway or Viva Las Vega.. ya k now.. those Elvis racing flicks.. but in this case I didn't crash the car, got the girl (Priscilla) and the boy (Presley), .. but in the end, the rattle can king put down his camera, and got off his porcelain thrown, and made a miraculous comeback in the world of Shake Rattle Can & Roll!

Filming began on 26 June 1967.

Scenes were shot at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. The film features guest appearances by several of the top stock-car—better known now as NASCAR—drivers of the day including Richard Petty, Buddy Baker, Cale Yarborough, Tiny Lund and more. They were shown individually with their names in the film's opening credits.

This would be the final "formula" musical film of Presley's career. His remaining films would be less musical and more adult in tone.

Steve Grayson's generosity portrayed in the film was based loosely on Elvis' real-life generosity, in which Elvis would give cars, homes, and other expensive items to Memphis Mafia members, family and friends, and even total strangers. This film is also loosely based on Colonel Tom Parker and his real life gambling habits and the money he continually siphoned from Elvis.
