Can anyone shed some light on how to position the complete drive shaft in the correct position? I want to make sure my drive shaft is installed properly.
Thanks

In terms of orientation to install the slip yoke at front into the transmission extension housing; or to attach rear CV joint flange to the rear end pinion flange it really doesn't matter. What some people think matters is when you disconnect the front section with the rear section that they should be put back together in the exact same position. What I do is take a silver marker and draw a line from front to rear so customer knows how they need to be put together when reinstalling. In fact I just did that a couple hours ago before I shipped the driveshaft from the latest parts car.
Now... I'll share my opinion: I don't even think that matters because both are mounted to the stationary center member bearing and support bracket. If they were both loosely attached or somehow floating, then I could see some type of "resonance" vibration possible occurring... sort of similar to how to loose rear CV joints get a resonance vibration usually between 45 and 65 mph. Even thought that is my opinion, I have still always installed the front and rear sections in my drivers the same way they came out of the original car. I guess it just makes us feel better even if it doesn't. or at least in my thinking affect anything.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
