Which Hole?

I have a 1963 Series 62 convertible the  previous owner did away with the original rear section of the driveshaft and replaced with one without CV joints resulting in the dreaded rumble. I now have a good rear section coming that I obtained from Russ. I also have Dan's new trailing arms in hand. I will be installing them in the next week or so. My front pivot mount has two holes in it (see pic). I assume the forward hole was drilled  to move the mounting forward to accommodate the incorrect driveshaft. I wanted to get a conformation from you all if possible. I would like to do this once since messing with springs always makes me a bit nervous

Hi Norm, when I read the title of your post I thought this may be one of those discussions not in the appropriate forum that Jason was just talking about. LOL. Anyway, you are correct, the forward hole was added and the rear is original. Good luck with your project. Even with the correct drive shaft you can get a rumble if the driveline alignment is off. Make sure the motor mounts and transmission mount are in good shape.
