Cadmium Plated Cadillac Bolts - More Used that You Can Shake a Dip Stick At!

I have now had just under 3,500 lb of Cadillac fasteners gold cadmium plated, one thing I don't run out of or have to run down to the hardware store are nuts and bolts.  I just replaced my 20+ year old bench vice with another, and there was no running down to Lowe's or Home Depot to get the recommended 7/16" bolts!  In fact I went with the Grade 5, TR stamped bolts and of course made sure I had a matched set.   For those of you that have followed may Cadmium Plated adventures, I thought you…See More

"Russ,  According to the vendor, he ordered the new core by size, then it gets shipped to his shop, unpainted. He takes the original tanks off the old core and then assembles the old tanks onto the new core and he then paints the whole radiator.…"

Radiator Re-core PLEASE HELP

I could use some confirmation. I sent out my radiator for my 63 De Ville to get re-cored. Several weeks later, when I went to pick it up from the service vendor, I noticed a large amount of green oxidation throughout the core of the radiator. I told the vendor that there was no way that this was a new radiator core, that brass just can't and doesn't oxidize that much in only a few weeks. Nice 1963 to 1967 Cylinder Head Water Outlet Pipe Assembly - $150

I just pulled a very good Cadillac Cylinder Head Water Outlet Pipe for cars with AC with the extended arm for compressor. That came off a running parts and is a nice piece. Included is a new 180 degree thermostat, and gasket; the top thermostat housing cover, and the heater hose nipple. 40A CB in fuse box

Don’t know if this is common knowledge or easy to find but was able to order a 40A Circuit breaker to fit in the fuse box from Crimp Supply inc or on Amazon from the same company source. Just thought I would pass it on. See More

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
