Does anyone know if there is a actual difference in the front shocks between convertibles and the other models ? I see listings on some sites saying there is , I am skeptical

Yes smaller than the Monroes I took off, sorry I should of been more specific. Doing a few things getting ready for Vegas in April ! Hoping to bring the 63 and the 64 . Next up is the top and hydraulics on the Eldorado. WIsh me luck ! See you in Vegas
Hi Marty. Smaller than what was on the car prior? I have found a lot of physically different shocks on the 43 parts cars and 5 driver cars I've had. I guess in 50 years designs change. I believe the black Gabriels were pretty close to the what I believe were the stock shock on the 43K mile Fleetwood donor car I recently had.
Thanks Jason, I put some Gabriels on the front, waiting for the rears to show up today. I did notice the Diameter of the shaft as well as the body of the shock itself is noticeably smaller
I usually keep a few sets of new Gabriel Gas Cushioned shocks on hand for customers. I have New Gabriel Classic Gas Cushioned (Part # 82109) for $25 each or $45 for a pair. If interested, email me at jasonedge@nc.rr.com with shipping address and will get you a total with payment info. Jason.
Jason that couls be a logical explanation. Makes it a bit confusing. do you happen to have a pair of front shocks ?
Per Master Parts Book:
Front: same shock absorber 1961 to 1964, except 75 Series/Commercial Chassis
Rear: same shock absorber 1957 to 1964 (all 1957 to 58; all 1959 to 1960 exc 75 ser; all 1961 to 1964 exc 75 series, Com Chassis).
Parts houses are awful for getting things wrong. Perhaps they saw the except CC on the parts listings and thought that meant convertible? Don't know about that but know the shocks on convertibles are the same as the 62, 63 and 60 series 1963 and 1964 Cadillacs.
I have the same question but for a 1963 Eldorado cvt. Front shocks for the other models are easy to find, but for the cvt all the sites say "not for cvt" I dont see the difference. According to the parts manual they use the shocks on every model except for the CC 75.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
