Used the cool pictures of Clifford Muskus arrived at the GN in his 64 SDV for our Facebook Page cover pictures. Check it out at https://www.facebook.com/6364Cadillac/

Here is the picture...

I just did the early check in and it looks like we are in room 1021. It is toward the corner and hopefully will have a room of the show field.  For those of you already there perhaps you can let us know where the show field is in relation to the hotel and rooms?

I have changed to room 1017 which should be near the middle of the side where the car show will be held. Thanks to Chapter Member Tim Coy for emailing me the rooms I need to shoot for - 1011 to 1020.

At Raleigh Durham Airport and checked in and ready for our flight to Charlotte and then to Texas. Can’t wait to see our Chapter & CLC friends.

Checked into our room and have a great view of the show field for Saturday’s car show.

We had a great Chapter meet-up. You can check out pictures on our Facebook. Page at www.facebook.com/6364cadillac

We have had a great time in San Marcos and will be returning tomorrow. There were 6 1963/64's on hand, 3 were judged, and took a LOT of pictures of the 63's and 64's and all other Cadillacs and LaSalles thru 1964.  I have posted Aerial and distant and other pictures on our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/6364cadillac and will post many more after I return. Cheryl and I stayed a couple extra days and tour downtown San Marcos and the San Marcos river today. If not a Facebook friend, be sure to "friend" me and you can follow our shenanigans!
As of yesterday I am now offically back on the CLC Board as an elected Board Member and look forward to representing our Chapter & Website with a seat  "at the big table" during the next couple of years!  Looks like you guys have been holding down the fort here on the site and it is appreciated!  We fly in after midnight Wed, June 13 and will be ramping back up and putting to gether our Grand National newsletter after that. Jason.

Looks like I have a couple hundred car show pictures from the 2018 CLC Grand National to go thru when I get home. Here is a fin-tastic 1961-64 Group Shot.

The name tags on everyone is a top idea.

Too many beers and end up as full as high school hat rack and at least you still know who you are..... as long as you can read upside down.

Thanks for the pics so far Jason. (Facebook)

83 Pictures of the 1963/64 Cadillacs at the 2018 CLC Grand National have been posted to an album on our Facebook Page which you can see by Clicking Here.  Below is one of the group shots of the 6 1963/64's on hand.

I've loaded 1963's and 1964's at the Grand National here to our main site in a photo album at

Eventually I’ll replace the speedo cable if needed but I believe the dash will need to come out to do that. However, shortly, I will be replacing the transmission on my 64 Fleetwood and I was…Continue

accumulator dryer

Posted by CHRIS CARLSON on December 6, 2023 at 10:54am 0 Comments

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

Posted by Les Eastling on November 15, 2023 at 10:34am 1 Comment

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.

There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…

Spark Plug Heat Range

Posted by Patrick Westphal on July 7, 2023 at 10:00am 1 Comment

I found a diagram that illustrates the main factor in determining a spark plug heat range that I was trying to describe to you during the chapter get together.

Here it is:

The main factor is the length of the ceramic insulator from the middle of the spark plug to the tip (where the spark happens)

The insulator…
