Hi everyone

im currently restoring my my front grill due to some previous clown painting it with silver frost paint and doing a dodgy job

I would like to know what parts of the grill are anodised.it appears to me that the thicker bars are anodised but not the thin ones is this the case?

due to being in Australia I can’t just find anything locally to use as a reference somebody’s help would be greatly appreciated

Hi Phil,

Both you and Marty Smith (Utah) should go into business restoring grills.  Your grill is truly amazing - what a task to make this look like new and to reassemble it!  My grill turned out very well; most of the stains are out and the Autosol did a great job.  You have a lot of mechanic work ahead of you - take your time - it will turn out great, I am sure.  THANKS for the update and writing back.  Talk soon!

Hi Phil,

Greetings from the U.S.  Your 63 is absolutely beautiful!  The pictures are truly amazing.  The grill looks brand new and I know the hard work you put into this project; literally piece by piece.  Thank you for keeping me posted over the last few months.  Your car has to be Best of Show, for sure.  Encomium to you for all the work you did!  Thank you again for the beautiful updated pictures!!  Merry Christmas!

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
