"Spray some WD40 around the insulator and it should gently pry out. At worse if it breaks, you can match it up with one of those rubber insulators you can get in the fastener section of Home Depot or Lowes. You might also have it in a warm room or…"

Clock Removal

Hello Everyone,I tried to remove my clock today and couldn't seem to get it to rotate more than a 16th to an 8th of an inch. I followed the instuctions in the manual (counterclockwise approximately 60*). Maybe I don't have enough strength for that sort of thing anymore. I'm wondering how much torgue it takes to get it to rotate out. I looked at some pictures and have an idea of how the clock is attached to the bezel, I also noticed that the bezel is attached to the cluster frame by only 2…See More

"If it were my car, I would buy a newer version of the originals. Better output and you know it is new or rebuilt.   Finding a NOS would be near impossible and it will have 60 year old seals."

1964 AC Compressor

Hi,I just had my Automatic Climate Control changed over to R134 and everything worked well but the refrigerant leaked out over night. It turns out my compressor leaks. I'm wondering what the best solution would be. Get my unit rebuilt, buy a rebuilt unit off the shelf or try to find a NOS unit? Does anybody want to weigh in? I also need to know the best places for the service needed or part. ThanksJeffSee More

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

accumulator dryer

Posted by CHRIS CARLSON on December 6, 2023 at 10:54am 0 Comments

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks
