Hi,
I just had my Automatic Climate Control changed over to R134 and everything worked well but the refrigerant leaked out over night. It turns out my compressor leaks. I'm wondering what the best solution would be. Get my unit rebuilt, buy a rebuilt unit off the shelf or try to find a NOS unit? Does anybody want to weigh in? I also need to know the best places for the service needed or part.
Thanks
Jeff

If it were my car, I would buy a newer version of the originals. Better output and you know it is new or rebuilt. Finding a NOS would be near impossible and it will have 60 year old seals.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
