"Yeah you're right Kurt. The Fleetwood trim edges downward with the contour of the wheel well which would explain the non existent mounting holes at the rear.   "

"That is probably a fender from a Fleetwood or Eldorado which do not have those moldings down the length of the car.  "

"Hello Dennis, Thanks for the reply. So it sounds like I may have to drill out the rear holes. The fender is completely missing them. Not a problem, just want to be prepared with the right tools when I head out to work on it"

Are these different from the coupe and the sedan? Or could it be that these holes were shaved at some point? Fender doesn't appear to be the original.Side note -  I'm unable to reference opposite side as the car is not…See More

" Mark, You have made a lot of progress. Like you said, it is hard to believe the car was running, especially with the fuel filter clogged like that. The timing chain should also make it run considerably better holding the timing more true, and…"

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 8 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
