Occasionally discussions come up on this forum about trouble finding shops that will work on old cars. This video is from a shop owner who loves old cars but he very succinctly states why he will no…Continue

I did a little tutorial on the 63 right front ashtray.I saw in Jason's latest video where he mentions this as a bad design. From my experience, it's not a bad mechanical design but rather it's not an…Continue
Kurt,
Yes, I was really bummed about the GN cancellation. I was looking forward to getting together with the usual folks and the 63-64 guys and taking the 63 and my 32 to show. The annual Keels and Wheels Concours was also postponed from May until October. My 1932 All Weather Phaeton was invited to that one. I've attached a couple of pictures of both cars. The 63 has only 34k miles and would have been entered in the Primary and Preservation Classes. The 63 is triple green (basildon). Hope to see you soon.
Take care,
Ken Karrer

Your page looks fantastic. The Caddy looks really nice up top
Hi Kurt, to tell the truth it's not Elmshorn, it's Neuendorf where I come from. This is exact half the way between Elmshorn and Glückstadt. But there are houndreds of Neuendorf in Germany so I decided to say Elmshorn as there is only one in Germany. If you are ever here again you're welcome.

At long last I finally have power vent windows! I started collecting the parts 3 years ago. The one thing I could not find until recently is the 6 button driver's switch. Jason finally pulled one in and was more than generous with pricing. Thanks Jason! Installing the vent window motors was the easiest part of the project but many other tasks were spawned by this project.

Here's something cool I stumbled across on Youtube. Pretty cool. It's like a power washer with sand.

A group of my car buddies & I go on a monthly food cruise, sometimes breakfast, lunch or dinner. Last Saturday we took a 40 mile cruise down country roads from Austin TX to Salado TX. We went to a shop there called City Garage that specializes in Lincolns & had lunch afterwards at a good burger joint in Salado. We've been lucky this winter with beautiful weather for the most part with just a few cold rainy days in between. Here's a little video I put together from the cruise. It's a…

I've replaced-repaired, cleaned and tested the complete system so I'm confident that everything will work as new. I vacuum tested the system first to see first if the installed system had any leaks.…Continue

Hey guys, I need some help. Could someone send me some pictures on how the first hood release lever on a factory 1964 Cadillac is set up, where it comes though the grille. Not the secondary one. I need to know where the thumb or finger position is located through the grille. Is it above or below the center grille molding piece? Mine seems to be positioned behind the center molding piece and will not adjust above or below the molding. I have a wire tied to it to release it…

I removed the front cover to change out the timing chain & gears all that went pretty well when I put the cover back on I put in a fresh oil filter ,filled it up figured it would be enough to prime the oil pump when I started the car .Fired up the car and heard lifters rattling, So I shut the car down right away. So I removed the oil filter housing, and poured oil down the neck of the oil pump housing filled it up and filled up the filter put it all together and fired it up and same…

Caddy members, I’m upgrading my 64 2-door coupe deville.

Email me (Tom.reichenberger@ipsper.com) or call me (210-739-4854) if you’re interested…..I live in San Antonio, TX.

While working on my trunk lock on 64 Cadillac, I mistakenly closed the locking mechanism while the trunk was open. Is there an easy way to manually release the lock back to the open position?
Thanks.
