"Hi Dennis,       Thanks for the reply. There was no way to get any kind of wrench on either of the bolts because of the steering knuckle. What I had to do was grind a 1/2" box wrench down to 1/8" thick and then was able to…"

"Hi Bill,       I restored my entire brake system on my 64 Coupe and the backing plate should not have to come off to remove the wheel cylinders.  The knuckle on the front wheel does get in the way and makes it harder to remove…"

  As far as having to pour fuel down the carb to get it started. Have you checked the  fuel filter, maybe replace it. If that is good the next thing to check to see if the fuel pump is working. If all of is good the next thing is look into the carburetor.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
