ORIGINAL CAR

I have an all original 63 Cadillac Park Avenue.  It has won awards in the past in the Originality Category.  My question to the group is what types of work you can do on the car that does not cause the car to no longer be an Original.  I noticed the rubber around the windows is cracking.  Can I replace that rubber without violating any requirements for the car to be an ORIGINAL?    I am a novice on judging requirements.   Thanks David See More

63 Cadillac no electrical power

I have a 63 cadillac park avenue.  My bulbs in the door panels in the front driver and passenger sides were out.  I replaced them today and no illumination.   My battery is fully charged and I tried starting the car.  Absolutely no power.  Started fine earlier in teh day.  No lights will come on, no turnover when I start the car--completely dead.  Any ideas as to what the problem might be.   See More

David, Thanks for the story and history of the car. I knew Kurt and judged the car in 2013 at the Boston Grand National. Kurt was a great guy and Chapter Member.

Your car, then Kurt's car was featured in our November 2013 Newsletter.  You can check it out by Clicking Here.

We don't like to feature the same car too often but it has been 11 years and it would be great to do a follow-up feature on this car sometime. Anytime you want to submit a store with pictures I would be honored to feature it again.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
