Our local CLC chapter had their annual show at Covert Cadillac in Austin TX yesterday.

There is an interesting story on the 61 limo. A man wanted to purchase a car for some nuns. They reluctantly agreed but insisted that it be bare bones with no radio or air conditioning. When the 61 series 75 showed up of course even without a radio or a/c it was way too ostentatious. The nuns tried to return it to the dealer but they said they could not sell it because it didn't have a/c. So most of its life it went unused. Later in its life it was used in movies.

 

The Central Texas CLC president owns the 58 Eldo Brougham, the 67 Eldo, & the 76 CDV with 13K original miles on it.

 

I had both of mine there too. (63 CDV & 76 Seville).

 

The black 64 deville convertible belongs to another member of this site but he rarely logs in (Come on, Russ!)
