So I have been having problems with my brake lights. At first I thought it was both sides and turns out it is only the drivers side. Also, I thought the blinker worked and it didn’t and turned out that the back up light worked before I started this journey. I was trying to get the plug out from under the license plate and probably unknowingly partial removed it!
Then on Sunday’s zoom meeting Pat recommended pulling the plug by the plate. Of course I zeroed in on the bulb and sweated over getting the lenses and cross piece out! Finally got the screws that hold the cross piece out, one by pure strength and PB Blaster, the other by using a removal bit and basically grinding off the bolt head. Then replaced the bulb and tested it and nothing! THEN it hits me about the plug and cleaning the corrosion off the tabs. Sure enough, put the plug on the clean tabs and BAM everything worked!
- Pat you’re a gosh darn genius!
A couple of lessons here, obvious one is when Pat suggests something do it! And second, always do the easy stuff first!

Dave. Glad you got your car working again. Thank you for the compliment and it’s actually experience more than anything else.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
