Rear Side Window Stainless Sill Removal

I'm looking to replace a piece of the stainless trim that sits on the outside of the car like a sill outside the rear passenger side window.  I can just barely see one screw at one end but does the door panel and/or window need to come out to access this?  If anyone has done this I'd like to learn what is involved.  Here's a photo of the piece I'm talking about:…

For sale: 1963 Cadillac front center impact bar $100 + shipping

Offering this newly re-chromed 1963 Cadillac front center impact bar for sale, $100 plus whatever it costs to ship it from Detroit to your location.  

The unit fits perfect on driver's side but does not sit flush on passenger side.  I am told someone needs to take a wooden block and hammer and bang the passenger side lower corner in to make it fit right.  If you know how to do this stuff, this is the piece for you.

1963 Carter Carb Mystery

Last weekend, I was trying (vainly) to remove the blower motor cover in the engine compartment when I noticed something strange:  A black rubber hose, originating from a vacuum actuator on the passenger side of my Carter carb, that went nowhere.  The previous owner had carefully tucked the free end underneath another vacuum actuator attached to the blower motor cover.  There was a plastic nipple stuck in the free end of the hose, meaning the other end led to another hose.  I looked…

Beware OPGI Transmission Cooler Lines

The lines sold for 1963 & 64 Cadillacs are NOT good on all cars.  Specifically, they do NOT fit Series 62 or 75 vehicles. 

The lines they sell have threaded ends/screws on both ends.  Refer to your shop manuals and you will see this is NOT the correct fitting for the transmission ends.  A complicated setup involving beaded tube endings and sleeves with O-rings connected by rubber hose & clamps is required.

Pinion Angle

My mechanic says the downward angle of my pinion has chewed up my driveshaft and will do it again unless we raise it.  Problem is there doesn't seem to be any direct means of adjusting pinion angle on 1963 Cadillac Series 62.  Anyone else go through this?  What was the resolution?

1963 Series 62 Heater, Screws, Wipers

Hi folks, the heater on my car doesn't work.  The A/C doesn't either, but that's something else.  Fuses seem fine, and after removing the lower dash panel it didn't appear that anything was unplugged from the heater control unit.  Any ideas what the culprit is?

Also, does anyone know gauge/thread of screws that are used to retain dashpad (3 at top of chrome instrument panel bezel and 2 inside top of glove box).  All mine are missing.  Also, trying to figure out what screw gauge &…

Selling 1963 Caddy Rear Bumper & Tail Light Housing

I have a rear bumper in decent shape for sale.  It needs rechroming and has some rust, but is not dented and banged up like some.  Also have the aluminum trim on both sides that goes above rear bumper for sale, not perfect but in decent condition.  Lastly, have the driver's side tail light housing for sale, nice chrome with light pitting and no rust, includes lenses and reflector.  Aluminum trim shows age.

can anyone help me with a driveshaft ? I have a 1963 Cadillac 62 series 4dr with the hydro-matic trans. I need the male splined shaft on the front of the rear driveshaft section. the piece with the nut attached by clip.id be willing to buy a shaft if its not horribly priced.

On a 63 CDV, if a guy wanted to remove the entire dash to get all the metal painted, and do some other things behind there, how would he go about doing that?  I checked here and the shop manual, but can't find a complete guide.

3655S carb, and a 3656S carb .I know the difference is one is for A/C and the other in for a non A/C car . Now the question is : can I use the carb bowl from the A/C car on the non A/C car ? They look the same set up next to each other
