Yes great video Jason! Thanks for that! I now fully understand how it works. I never knew what that thing was in the first place and how it operated. It's one of those parts that I am sure most of us that own these cars simply don't even think twice about on what it's supposed to do or how it functions.

This definitely should be in the help section on the forum to let everyone know before you tune the carb, it's a MUST, to MAKE SURE the throttle check isn't keeping throttle plates open.

Thanks Tony. I meant to point out the adjustment screw.. I'm a bit rusty on the videos! LOL People screw it out as an idle control ... not knowing or otherwise! I've done it myself on marginally running parts cars to keep them running instead of fine tuning and dialing in the carb when all I needed to do was see that the engine runs, move the car around, or just tickle myself silly with the pleasures of hearing a 390 or 429 run!

Nice explanation , of a part that is seldom ,if at all seen on other cars ,so that helps a lot to understand its purpose

Where do the flashers go in my 64 Deville Convert.  I'm thinking that's why both turn signals stopped working.

Source for Motor mounts and Trans mounts 1964 SDV

Hi.

Where is the best place to purchase good quality motor mounts/trans mounts for my 1964 SDV? I see that Rock Auto has them for $8 and change, and others for $24 and change. Big difference. Is there a better place to buy them from?

Thanks

Norm

Fuel loss in Carburetor

Lately if I haven't started my '63 in four or five days it seems that the carburetor has gone dry. The starter cranks for an extended period of time and the engine doesn't come close to firing. I have resorted to pouring a little fuel into the carb to save the starter and battery. This gets it started and it runs fine. It also starts fine after sitting a short while - a couple hours or so.

The fuel pump is new and there is always fuel in the glass bowl of the fuel filter. This, along…

I would like to upholster my caddy back to original.   Does anyone know where I can look at some pictures or photos.  Also, how hard is it to remove the dash?  thanks
