Kinda crazy that I will be in Texas 1 week from now watching the Cadillacs & LaSalles roll in as part of the 2018 CLC Grand National. I missed out last year and have definitely had GN withdrawal over the past year, and chomping at the bit to get my GN Groove On again! There is nothing like hanging out with hundreds of other fellow Cadillac enthusiasts with a show field filled with classic cars. These people become like family and have to say being a part of the CLC Family and participating in these Grand Nationals, and meeting our fellow 1963/64 Cadillac Chapter members in person, has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life.
With that said, I am starting to get in the ramp down mode on the many house projects, while ramping up on my preparation for the Grand National. The hardest thing for me, probably like most of you, is packing. What clothes to take? ... it is supposed to be 103 the day we arrive the last time I checked; what electronics do I take? ... make sure I have chargers, adaptors, plugs, cords cables; can I take any Chapter stuff for our meet-up? ... I like to take at least a few unique items; what reading material to I bring? ... I always go way over board and bring books and magazine I barely have time to glance at the cover.
For our Chapter Meet-up I would love to bring a car load of stuff and make it really fun, but we are flying and will have to improvise! As far as reading material this will be the first time I have judged under the new judging procedures and, yes, I have had my head in the 2018 Judging Manual just about everyday this week.
So, I think I will just relax and just go have some great fun in Texas!!!!!
Jason.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Who rebuilds original AC accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year , There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A What is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.
There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
