Looking for assistance in removing the turn signal arm from the turn signal assembly on a non-tilt steering column. Does it screw in there or do I need to take this little retainer off the top or ??? Thanks in advance.
Also, is there something that keeps the pin in place for the gear shifter arm or does the pin just need to be pushed out? I see a thin metal spacer between the top of the shifter and the pin, but I’m not sure if that’s holding the pin in there or not.

Hi Brandon,
Check that steering column diagram I sent you last week (The one you had to Google). It has all the parts of the steering column listed from top to bottom. It's the one Jason posted.

I did but it didn’t help much.
The turn signal arm screw out. There are 2 flat spots where a wrench will fit. The shift lever pin is pushed out. I use a small brass punch and a hammer. Yes, there is a shim plate, so get that as well when the arm comes out. Take not as to what side it is on.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
