Hi all,
Looking for a running 429 doesn't have to be perfect but must have had the THM trans behind it.
Thanks,
Joel

It is the crankshaft that is different between the 64 THM 429 and 64 HM 429 engines. You can swap cranks, or enlarge the flex plate opening from 3" to 3 3/16" if you did pick up a good running HM 429. If no one has anything I can put you down for on on my Wait List.
UPDATE:
I found a beauty of a donor car a Fleetwood Sixty Special Sedan with an excellent running 429. Had to do umbrella and valve stem seals but it all worked out. The donor '64 had every option, Comfort Control, Twilight Sentinel, Guide-Matic, Controlled Diff, Cruise Control, Vacuum Locks, Soft Ray Glass, 6 way Seat, Adjustable Steering Wheel, Remote Trunk release, Seat Belts Frt, 2 License Plate Frames, Dor-Gards, Power Vent Windows (all 4), Defogger, Rear Window, Eldorado Horn, Cadillac Rubber Floor Mats front and rear (2 Piece). Would have been better if it was also a 2 door, but its got more than what I'll be needing for donations.
That is a great find with a laundry list of hard to find items. If you end up with extras you want to sell feel free to post to our for sale forum here (www.forsale.6364cadillac.com) When/if I see something I have a customer on the Wait List for I will point them here. That has always been true for all members ... just post your extras here.
Keep us posted on you progress with pictures and write up something for the next newsletter.
Where is the car located? getting rid of it?
Car is located in Massachusetts. I will get together a of list of things that I will not be using in the spring. Car will mostly be dismantled by me up here though.

It has been way too long since we posted any trivia (and gave out a cigar), so here is one I thought I might have posted but do not see it: What % of 1963 Cadillacs came with the optional "Controlled…Continue

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

Hey guys,
I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
