I sold one a a few years back and there was some discussion on these on the CLC site and thought I would upload some pics. I think they are OK as a cheap, quick temporary solution until you either have yours repaired or find a nice original.

I sold the dash cap posted above a while back but remember searching around the major suppliers and finding them. If someone finds a good supplier I will put a link to them on our Parts Suppliers page.
The black piece is the dash cap. It will not win you an origional concours award but good for a quick fix. Someone called them "junk" on the CLC site but indicated that is subjective and depends on what you want to get out of it. I wanted to post pictures. that way anyone can make up their own mind. You can see it is a dash cap, but all painted the same cover is not a bad alternative to spending 1/2 a grand at somewhere like Just Dashes or a couple hundred for a nice original. I have a very nice original 64 for sale, and no dash caps for sale and have no vested interested so was just trying to offer my observations.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
