Well we (my son and I) have finally made it to the interior of our '63 Eldorado and thought we would find the original interior underneath the seat covers that had been installed, but instead we find an earlier reupholster job that is not done in the original design. So now we are seeking any advice, photos, etc. or information of any kind on the interior seats of a '63 Eldorado. Leads on interior shops that may be able to reupholster the seats would be great also!

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!

Les, I own a 63 Eldo with a bench seat. I can provide most any picture you like. I do not have the capability to upload picture from my phone to the site. However, by email I can send pictures. I would also like to know about your car. Email me at artarchambeault49@gmail.com. art

Les,

Perhaps someone will have some good example interior pictures of the 63 Eldo. Mano Forsman has a few interior pictures nested among the pictures we used for the Newsletter Spotlight last year in this folder: http://6364cadillac.ning.com/photo/albums/mano-forsman-1963-eldorad...

Way back in the day Tommy at Auto Interiors in Raleigh, NC had ordered the original fabrics for my 64 CDV from SMS and bet if you provide him (or SMS if buying material direct from them) with your trim code they can get you the original leather and other material.

Here are the 1963 Spec manual scans for the 63 Eldo. This is a scan of a reprint book and not the best quality. If you double click and click again you can enlarge and save:

Can you help? Driveshaft Question....

Posted by Chris on May 30, 2021 at 8:55am 1 Comment

Hello!

Newbie to the group here - we have already found tons of invaluable information on the board, so thanks! We are restoring a 1963 Series 62 Convertible. We are wondering if anyone knows of a source to buy the propellor yoke flange (that bolts to the pinion flange) for the driveshaft? One of our ears partially broke off. Not sure if we can buy just the yoke flange as an aftermarket part, or if it has to be rebuilt by a welder/fab guy? Maybe a salvage yard for a source? Again, any…

V.I.N. where?

Posted by Robert Pellow on April 18, 2021 at 1:41pm 6 Comments

Where can I find the V.I.N. on a 63 convertible?  The usual space at the base of the interior windshield on the driver's side has been decimated by weather.

63 Trunk detail

Posted by Bob Pontius on April 8, 2021 at 3:07pm 6 Comments

Jason, I liked the detail and information you have provided. I would like to do mine similar to yours. Can you help? Do you have trunk material? OPGI is sending the trunk product for my 63 Fleetwood. But it does cover the entire trunk as yours was done. If you do not have can you give me a reference? Thanks!! Bob
