Dear Cadillac friends:
I have a 1963 Fleetwood.
The transmission dipstick has bubbles in it when I check the fluid.
Also, the transmission shudders when I drive up a slight incline in reverse.
I had the transmission rebuilt about a year and a half ago. The shop provided a one year warranty, so the time to make a claim under the warranty has expired. When i brought the car in to the shop that did the rebuilding, they told me there is nothing wrong with the transmission; just keep driving. Of course, I'm looking for someone else.
I'm in San Francisco, California. Do you know of a shop in my area that I can rely on?
Thank you in advance.

Hi David,
If there is too much fluid in the transmission, or there is not enough fluid in the transmission, both situations can cause air to infiltrate (churning or air sucking). Also, check to see how the filter is. May want to do a transmission tune up and start with new fluid at the apposite level. I would start there.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
