Wheel Rim Color for 1963

I will need to replace tires soon so I want to correct the incorrect color of my wheels. A previous owner had them painted body color...including the spare tire rim. I have read "Dove Gray" is correct. Another fellow suggested get a spray can of "Machine Gray". I want to get this right and do it once.

Does anyone have a modern paint manufacture and code for the correct color?

Maybe a scan of a known original wheel rim that could be relayed to an automotive paint shop?

What type of paint, primer, etc or any other tips?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
