Uniroyal Tire Brown Discoloration
Hi all,
I'm glad I read Jason's recap of last nights Zoom call. I had the same problem with a set I bought for my 63 SDV. The white never got better than a pale yellow and would turn brown with in 5 minutes.
I called the cs number and got a rep named Dean Hawkins. His info is below. He hadn't had any complaints (so far) with that batch but offered to upgrade me to a BF Goodrich Silver Town. Turns out the entire batch was defective.
He sent the new tires with only my word I'd send the originals back. As soon as I had them switched out, he sent me the FedEx labels, I wrapped each tire in a black plastic bag, applied the stickers and called FedEx.
Give Dean a call. If you get his vm, he will call you back by the next day.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
