I recently completed a complete engine rebuild on my 64 CDV. I have a continuing problem (both before and after the rebuild). When I am stuck in traffic and the car begins to run real hot, but not overheated, the car runs very rough and will stall out unless you are able to make it out to open road in which it will sputter a bit, but begin to run perfectly once the operating temp drop down a bit. I have replaced the carb at a different time from the rebuild and it made no difference, the car behave the same. I also put a brand new fuel pump on at the time of the rebuild as well. I recently replaced the carb on my 60 Series 62 and noticed it had a bakolite type spacer between the manifold and the carb that my 64 does not have. Did the 64 come with that spacer and is mine missing? Any helf for anyone would be most appreciated! Thanks, Kevin in Tampa.

For factory carb setup you should have an intake to carb insulator spacer with the PCV nipple on the front. Without this you carb is probably overheating (exhaust channel runs right through middle below carb) and not sure where your PCV valve is routed to. Plugged up your car will probably quickly run like crap.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up.
