Posted this on my Facebook page today and thought I would share with all of you:

COUNT DOWN TO RETIREMENT ....
After 24 years with the state, and moving up to IT Manager over North Carolina's main Integrated Tax Processing System I will be stepping away to pursue other passions on Jan 1, 2015, just 6 days after I turn ...50. A bit scary but looking forward to another major chapter in my life! I would have never thought at age 20 or 30 I would be looking forward to turning 50, but with my Miss Cheryl by my side, I am ready to "move on....and get it on!"

At the end of the year I will take a bit of a break and come back full throttle with our Chapter, this website and expanding my Classic Cadillac Parts business and will dive more into the restoration services end of things.  With a full time job I've had to stick to selling parts on the side, and tinkering with my own 64 CDV as time permits but that will change next year and look forward to growing my involvement with the CLC, this chapter, and growing my side business.  For the chapter, my main goal is to complete the 1963/64 Cadillac Authenticity Manual by end of next year.  I also look forward to being able to free up and meet many of our website and chapter members in the years to come.
Jason.

Sounds like a Chapter Member in the making! I know she enjoys riding in your 63 Caddy. Yeah, I want to pursue some things, mostly Cadillac related but will keep my option's open for some future part time IT work on my terms.

Congratulations Jason on your upcoming retirement.  I am 53, been at the same job for 33 years, owned it for 25, and was planning on retiring at 55.  God had other plans for us though when our beautiful 4 year old granddaughter came to live with us two years ago. Little boogers are sure expensive to raise today, but wouldnt have it any other way:)  Besides I am turning her into a huge Cadillac fan!

Thanks Tony and Tony! I am really looking forward to pushing our website to the next level and making it the most powerful, user friendly car club website anywhere! I believe in continuous improvement, and having an IT background, hope to use my free time to continue to improve on the great site we already have!

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?

Vintage Air AC

Posted by Chase on March 21, 2024 at 5:55am 0 Comments

Hey everyone, has anybody done a Vintage Air AC/Heat setup in their car? I want to bypass the old vacuum setup and go with a Vintage Air Gen 2 model. Before I get started, does anyone have any experience with this? (Which model to go with, do’s and dont’s, etc.) It looks pretty involved. Any and all info/pics would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

accumulator dryer

Who rebuilds original AC  accumulator dryers for 1964 Cadillac? I have been on Classic auto air in Tampa FL wait list for over a year ,  There is one on Old air products web site that looks very similar to the original # 21-4214A but states it fits 1962 Gm cars, The one recommended for a 1964 Cadillac is half the length 21-4215A    What  is everyone using ? I would prefer to be as original as possible. Thanks

'63 Eldorado trumpet horn + 2 standard horns restoration

Posted by Les Eastling on November 15, 2023 at 10:34am 1 Comment

My son, unbeknownst to me, had all three of the horns on our 1963 Eldorado completely restored. We had recently added the Eldorado trumpet horn to the two standard horns and the sound was not very good... we had heard good ones so we knew something was not right... but there was not much we could do to get better sound from the 3 horns.

There is a restoration service called The Horn Works who my son…
