Well it finally happened. After 8 years of enjoyment, over 20,000 miles, the wife and I were sitting at a stop sign in our small town, waiting for traffic to clear and an old farmer ran into the back of us.

Bowed the rear bumper, got the deck lid, latch, air shock lines, trunk won't close and who knows what else. Matching paint on this thing is bear as it has some pearl in it.

Oh well, guess it could have been worse.

Looking for a body shop in NE Kansas that deals with classic cars if anyone knows of one. As everyone here knows, these things are just a car but they are different. I thought I remember  a member in Manhattan that had some work done but never met him.

Very sad to hear that. As a CLC member, I would check with members in your local region for recommendations if you don't get any feedback here. I know Chapter Member Doug Meloan lives in KS (Manhattan) and may have someone he can recommend. Doug would be listed in your CLC director. Speaking of the CLC director I would check out the other KS members and check with them. Some may not belong to your local region.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
