Kevin, the window has t come out. If its a 63, lucky U.  2 screws hold the bar in place. The rollers on the regulator ride in the bar, on the bottom of the window channel

2 screws on the back of the top chrome L shaped piece, hold it to the channel.

I got it replaced.  Thanks Russ.  Kevin

Kevin, is your window already out of the car? If not follow shop manual to remove glass. Then remove screws that hold the side & top trim to the lower channel assembly and gently pry the trim away from glass. When reinstalling I have used a lot of WD 40 to get the window back wedged into the seal and trim and lower channel.

Thanks Jason.  It worked!!!!  Got it.  Kevin

so u have to take the front window out in order to remove front window trim??? im in process of trying to remove trim or trying figure it out .but dont wanna take that Big window out

JBailey,

Looking at picture below for front window trim with read arrows pointing to  left and right roof panel trim, and green arrows pointing to 5 pc reveal trim:

--> left, top and right reveal trim next to glass (green arrows) - removes with reveal removal tool. (windshield does not have to be removed)

--> bottom left and right reveal trim behind cowl  (bottom green arrows) - cowl has tom come off to access 5/16" screws that hold lower reveal brackets in place. (windshield does not have to be removed)

--> left and right front roof panel trim (red arrows) - WINDSHIELD AS TO COME UP TO ACCESS TRIM SCREWS).  The removal of this trim indicating removal of windshield is in the Shop manual (page 16-80 in 1963 manual; page 16-85 1964 manual),

Once you remove the windshield and rubber seal you will then have access to a series of screws that holds the left and right front roof panel trim in place as seen below:

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
