Need Advice re Which Belts to purchase. My AC belt is screeching off and on and I see that the adjustment is maxed out-which leads me to believe that the belt is stretched. That being the case, I want to replace ALL belts on my 64 with Factory /AC and FACTORY 7 bladed fan with NO Fan Clutch. The belts that are on there now are: AC -Gates 7560xl; Alt -Gates 7525xl; Power Steering- Goodyear 15515. What have y'all had best results with? Thanks
Norm
The Gates 7560 would be correct for the fan and AC compressor belt. I keep a few of these new on hand ($10) if you have any problem finding a replacement. In fact I have a good stock of the fan and alternator w/AC belt (7525), fan and alternator wo/AC belt (7560), fan & power steering pump belt (15508) all $10 if any one has trouble finding any of these.
Both those belt company’s are great so just replace what you have
These cars will often make a belt squeak sound if the front wheels are full extended in a direction ( a U turn )
Check the size of the new belt to the older one to see if the old had stretched to confirm your thoughts
Fresh parts will always improve the car reliability and a good thing
Enjoy

I need to replace the bulbs for the speedometer cluster in my instrument panel..
Before I open up the dash, I want to have the necessary bulbs on hand.
Can someone help me determine what bulbs I need, the number of bulbs I need, and where to purchase them?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

The temperature gauge of my 63 Eldorado does not work properly.
It goes slowly all the way up and stays there, while the true temperature is around 155-160 F (water in the radiator and/or the top of the thermostat housing).
Where should I start to solve the problem? The gauge itself, the temperature sensor, or the wiring? Or something else? The sensor is a new (aftermarket part)…
