Hi All,
Does anyone know where to get the barrel nuts (or whatever the original method is) to mount the glove box script? I assume that's what holds it in place. My car had a stick-on script when I bought it and I'm changing to an original style repro script. The two mounting studs on the script are tapered from about .050" to .080". The holes in the glove box door are 1/8". They appear to be too delicate for a screw on type nut so I'm assuming a push in style barrel nut is correct. By the way, beware that the OPGI script does not come with mounting hardware :(
Thanks,
--Mike

I sourced my retainers from the local hardware store. I don't know what I would do without ACE hardware stores.
I have the same exact glove box script, for half the price of OPGI, for anyone else looking for a 63 love box script. I also include the mounting hardware.
If you can not find the retainers locally, send me an email, and I will mail you 2 in an envelope.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
