Passenger ash tray - 63CDV
Hi all,
Kind of an unimportant thing but one that drives me nuts. How do you stop the passenger ash tray from rattling? Its also very hard to open. I see the latch mechanism but don't see any adjustment on it. Has anyone else ran into this?
Tired of trying to drown it out with the radio.

Thanks for the service bulletin. Looks like the sleve is gone and the tips of the rubber bumpers are long ago broke off.

Yes, the bumpers are still there, hard, but there. There is no sleeve on either the arm or the back of the ash tray itself. So, looks like I will have to invent something?????

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
