A while back my odometer quit working just as it was turning over 40000 mi. I took some time and pulled the speedo out expecting to see a stripped gear somewhere. What I found was a chunk broke out of the odometer dial. Its locked up tight.
I replaced the dial with a working one but would like to set the numbers to around 42000 instead of showing 004876.
My question, does anyone know the procedure for resetting the number on the odometer dial?? I don't want to break the gears inside on the working one.
Thanks for any help.

It's been a while since I had one apart but like Tony said, I remember that you could just rotate the #'s to whatever you want to show once disassembled and dial removed. Also, If you need any internal hardware I probably have 3 dozen of these to pull from.

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?
My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.
Many thanks,
-Samu

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
