Well I finally made the jump and had some work done on my interior. Thought I would share a pic of the cover my upholsterer punt on my dash. It was cracked in several places with the ugly foam showing. Seemed like every time I touched it, I put a new crack in it. I think it turned out well for a driver. Anyway- no more ugly cracks. They did have to put a seam on the underside around the instrument cluster and one leg. But, it didn't cost me a $grand +.

Very Discreet...looks factory and you would not know otherwise. Looks 1000% better than a cracked dash!

Here's a pic of where they put the seams on my dash when they recovered it, just an FYI. Guess its time to put the lower dash cover back on.

I had my interior work and dash done at Fat Cat Speed and Upholstery shop in Topeka Ks. It cost me $350. I was happy with the work  they did.

Makes driving the old girl much more enjoyable. Also, not quite as embarrassing as the cracked dash and ripped up seats and carpet.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Loud air moving sound within carb with cleaner removed

Posted by Dave Fehrle on March 23, 2024 at 3:23pm 8 Comments

While checking my Carter carb with engine running, I took the air cleaner off and there was a very loud hissing sound of air. I placed a piece of paper over the carb and it didn’t move up or down, is this normal?
