Guys,
Finally getting around to troubleshooting the lack of operation of my 63 NSS. After removing the switch the problem was pretty evident. Broken tab. Any way to fix this or am I in for an expensive replacement? Thinking of trying to make a pin out of a screw but expect the Bakelite to be too brittle. Suggestions?

A screw will cause the block to break apart.   Drill a hole and find a metal pin the same diameter as the original post.

The pin can not go into the area where the spring goes. JB weld the pin in place and clean and lube the inside of the NSS, so the slider doesn't bind again.  I use white lithium grease.

what is NSS?

All I use is the fast cure JB weld.  The plastic will break long before the JB weld.

that was the answer i was looking for,, i am complete novice,,, i mean complete, so please have patience with my ignorance,,

The NSS also provides the back up lights and the auto release for the parking brake.

I zipped off the head of a 3" screw and epoxied it in the drilled hole, as Russ pointed out, and when it dried zipped it off to length. A 3" deck screw has about 1.5" of shank with no threads.

1963 RHS A/C kick panel - photos needed

Posted by SK on June 2, 2025 at 2:20pm 2 Comments

Could someone post front and back photos of the 1963 right-hand kick panel with A/C?

My car didn’t come with the original kick panels, so it's a bit of a mystery to me how I should cut the backing board and carpet to fit around the A/C.

Many thanks,

-Samu

Edelbrock Carb Block off Plates

Posted by Chase on March 12, 2025 at 2:05pm 14 Comments

Hey guys,

I have installed the same Edelbrock carb and have done everything the same as Jason’s carb and intake project. In the spring and summer months the car starts, runs and idles great! In the fall and winter months on a cold start, the car starts awful and wants to die until it warms up. I have to keep my foot on the throttle until it warms up or it will idle just terrible and try to die. Once it’s warm, it runs fantastic! Whats going on here? I was thinking of removing the…
